Iran privately warned Saudi Arabia over London-based news channel: report
TEHRAN – Iran has sent an official warning message to Saudi Arabia through diplomatic channels regarding a London-based satellite news channel Tehran says funded by Riyadh, according to Tasnim.
Citing a highly placed Iranian expert on the West Asia region, Tasnim said Iran sent the message because Iran knows the satellite news channel, Iran International, is funded by Saudi Arabia.
The expert, Sadullah Zarei, said the Saudis replied that they have nothing to do with the news channel.
“The Saudis said in response that they have nothing to with Iran International and they disavowed this terrorist media. But we fully know the Saudi connection to Iran International. And we know that Saudi Arabia is the funding source for the anti-Iran measures and that this quasi-media is funded by Saudi Arabia,” Zarei told Tasnim.
The expert said Iran did not accept the Saudi response. “If Iran International has nothing to do with them, then many possible incidents will have nothing to do with us,” the expert warned.
